TRAINEE MACHINIST
AEM, with its head office at Stansted Airport, is a subsidiary of the American corporation AMETEK Inc. As part of AMETEK’s Aerospace & Defense Division, AEM is one of the largest independent accessory maintenance facilities in Europe. Our Ramsgate site is a long-established aircraft component repair and overhaul facility.
You will work as part of the team in the Machining and Plating workshops, using lathes,drills, mills and honing machines to overhaul landing gears and related aircraft components. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working with lathes and general machining equipment but, above all, will be willing to learn new skills and be able to work to the high standards expected in the aviation industry. If you are looking to join a successful aviation business, this could be for you. Salary around £16,200 p.a. depending on experience.
