Senior Practitioner - Part Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for an established fostering agency as a senior practitioner.
My client is looking for a qualified social worker, with at least 3 years post qualifying experience and one of the following CQSW DipSW or CSS.
You will have working experience child care and family placement as well as a sound understanding of child care legislation in particular fostering regulations and standards.
Duties include:
Supervision of Foster carersand monitoring foster placements.
Deputising for the manager in their absence.
Participation of emergency/out of hour’s rota.
Undertaking and monitoring "F Form" assessments.
Recruitment, Training and development of foster carers.
Liaise with external agencies and professionals, and organise meetings and forums.
Act as a mentor to less experienced staff.

You will be required to travel around East Kent, although your base will be Whitstable, this is a part time position Monday to Friday 20 - 25hrs per wk, some weekends maybe required.
