Senior IT Specialist
This international Company based in Ashford are seeking a Senior IT Specialist to head up their new IT department. The successful applicant will play a key role in the development and implementation of the department and this may involve contact and occasional travel to European and Canadian sites.
The main responsibilities will be:
o To manage, operate, monitor and support all IT equipment and activities in order to provide reliable prompt IT support. (5 servers, circa 70 customer web facing servers and 75 workstations).
The ideal candidate should:
o Be computer science/engineering graduates or have the equivalent experience. Substantial pertinent experience in senior IT position in a production MS windows server environment is also essential.
o Have excellent understandings of e.g Windows server, MS exchange, MS SQL server, IIS, Active Directory, Network backup software, security and network administration, web application hosting etc. This should have also been acquired through work history.
Applicants need to display a professional approach (e.g proactive self organizers and clear communication), be customer service orientated and able to work alone. Bilingual English/French would be advantagous.
