In the context of the Government’s agenda of rolling out children’s centres to cover the country, Kent County Council is seeking to appoint 1 full-time equivalent qualified early years teacher to work in support of children’s centres. These exciting opportunities will
involve working alongside early education and childcare providers in all sectors to promote and support the highest quality care and
learning opportunities for children from birth to five. Kent currently has 20 Children’s Centres throughout the county - with plans to increase this to 72 by 2008. Each centre serves approximately 800 children, offering a range of multi-agency
services, with a qualified teacher contributing to the strategic development and direction. You will be outstanding and experienced practitioners, possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills as these
will be crucial to achievement in this significantly multi-agency, cross sector environment. Kent is seeking to appoint candidates on a part-time basis to work in one centre, or alternatively on a full-time basis to work across
two centres.
