Primary Mental Health Worker
Initially fixed term to April 2011
Behaviour improvement programme / Ashford behaviour & education support team.
We are looking for a Primary Mental Health professional who is committed to promoting the emotional and mental well-being of children and young people by developing skills in community based settings and providing early intervention and preventative work. Based within BEST you will be working as part of a multi-agency team with designated Ashford primary and secondary schools within BIP. You should hold nursing/social work/psychology qualifications or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 years experience working with children/young people and their families. Relevant experience of working with CAMHS or in community settings with children who have experienced mental health problems would be advantageous. Therapeutic skills appropriate to working with children and young people are essential. This post is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Application to the Criminal Records Bureau.
