Area Team Leader - Primary Mental Health Project Manager

Do you have experience of and commitment to working with young people, and could you support and offer guidance to other colleagues?
We are seeking to appoint a Team Leader who is bright, full of ideas and enjoys using their initiative, to join our dedicated and highly effective staff team. The primary function of this role is to establish and support Kent Safe Schools Primary Mental Health Project, a new initiative targeted at young people in Swale schools and working closely with teachers, Health professional and CAMHS workers. You would work with multi-agencies, schools, parents, children and young people with the intention of making schools a safer environment for young people, and to facilitate the referral of young people through schools into mental health support programmes.

In addition to the Project Manager duties, the Area Team Leader will be expected to work closely with all agencies, schools and communities to identify networking opportunities and establish firm partnerships. You will take a shared responsibility for supporting other staff delivering in the same area, with a particular focus on the co-ordination of services, induction and training.

We are looking for applicants with a good understanding of educational issues who possess experience of working with young people, ideally in primary phase.
